What are SPIONs?
SPIOs are iron oxide nanoparticles with some truly fascinating properties. Their unique structure and crystallite size grant them superparamagnetic properties at room temperature. This means that iron oxide nanoparticles become magnetic when exposed to a magnetic field and cease to be so when no longer exposed.
SON has developed extensive expertise surrounding SPIONs. We currently offer a comprehensive range of iron oxide nanoparticles that can be functionalised in a variety of ways (including with carboxylic acids, amines, or chlorine).
